HEPLA was established in April 2015 to provide landscape and visual impact assessment and environmental planning services to a wide range of client sectors.  HEPLA is led by Peter Dunmow an experienced Chartered Landscape Architect, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) Specialist, and Masterplanner.

Peter Dunmow CMLI

Peter has twenty nine years of experience in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design.  His experience covers the full breadth of landscape consultancy services, managing and working on a wide range of projects throughout the UK and overseas. He is an experienced landscape practitioner, specialising in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA).  Key project experience includes the design optimisation and assessment of onshore and offshore wind farms.  Other wide ranging experience includes: solar energy projects; overhead power lines, grid/substations; biomass/energy from waste plants; business parks/housing/roads; flood alleviation; quarry and mineral developments.

Peter has prepared a range of townscape assessment work for a variety of new retail, commercial and residential developments as well as analysis and survey for urban renewal, regeneration and design studies. This has included undertaking assessments of the visual impacts of night time lighting. In addition, Peter complements these skills with considerable experience in masterplanning, detailed site planning and contract management.

His work has included designing earthworks and planting for mineral site restoration plans, large scale landform design for flood alleviation and sustainable drainage systems, as well as landform design for highways infrastructure. He is experienced in planting design at a strategic landscape scale, including large native woodland planting and rewilding projects, as well as domestic scales.
